Step-by-Step Tutorial
Preparing the Layer
Start by unlocking the layer you want to edit and converting it to a Smart Object. To do this:
- Right-click the layer and select Convert to Smart Object.
Opening Camera Raw Filter
Open the Camera Raw Filter by going to Filters > Camera Raw Filter.
Importing Presets
In the Camera Raw window:
- Select the Presets tab.
- Click the three horizontal dots (•••) and choose Import Profiles & Presets.
- Navigate to the presets pack you have purchased, downloaded for free, or created. It must be a zip file.
- Select the file and click Import.
Applying and Adjusting Presets
- Expand the presets pack by hovering over it.
- Get an instant preview of each preset by hovering your mouse over it.
- Click on a preset to apply it to your image.
- Adjust the strength of the preset using the sliders to increase or decrease its effect.
If you’re satisfied with the preset, click OK to apply it to your image. If you want to make further adjustments, go to the Edit section and modify the settings as needed. Once you’re happy with the adjustments, click OK to apply the preset to your image.
That’s it! You’ve now learned how to import and apply presets in Adobe Photoshop.
